Though a tree may grow ever so high, its leaves will still return to its roots.
I only had a few days in Kuala Lumpur, so there is still so much for me to see and do in Malaysia. But for the time I was there, we explored the city end-to-end, climbed the stairs to the Batu Caves, wandered gardens of exotic birds and stuffed ourselves with nasi lamek or kaya toast and sweet coffee for just about every meal.
It was the end of our time backpacking Southeast Asia, and it was a very good way to move on.

For our final stop in Southeast Asia (on this trip, anyways), we headed to Kuala Lumpur and met up with our good friend, Ronnie. He's another American we'd met in Taiwan, and he's pretty great.
