In Trouble in Laos– and my own dangerous stupidity

In Trouble in Laos

for my own dangerous stupidity

In Vientiane I demonstrated my previously untapped potential for complete and utter stupidity.[spacer height=”20px”]

After taking an over night sleeper train to the Thai-Laos border, we stood in line at immigration. The young man in front of me had a problem–[spacer height=”20px”]

The Safari Park Zoo Volunteer Project

The Safari Park Zoo

We arrived in Kanchanaburi unsure of what to expect of our time at the Safari Park Open Zoo. We were excited to see animals but we didn’t know much about the project. At the designated meeting spot in town we met a few of the other new volunteers, had a bit of lunch and waited.[spacer height=”20px”]

A young couple arrived, out of breath, with mud on their boots and a few holes in their shirts. “Sorry we’re late and covered in poo!” the young woman shouted to us with an apologetic smile and a strong British accent. “But just give it a day or two and you’ll be just as poo-covered!”[spacer height=”20px”] (more…)

Why Cambodia Deserves Our Attention

Why Cambodia Deserves Our Attention

We helped build a sustainable living community and Buddhist monastery in the jungle. There were riverboats, beaches, bustling markets and wild animals all along the way. (more…)

Hi. I'm Tessa.

Tessa Bradford

I'm a waterfall-loving, world-wandering, picture-taking, journal-writing sort of traveler.[spacer height="20px"]

And this is where all my memories end up.[spacer height="20px"]

The culture, the people, the food, those moments that make you want to pull your hair and the ones that make you laugh till your gut aches.[spacer height="20px"]

These are the stories and photos that I've collected over the last five years.[spacer height="20px"]

Thanks for letting me share them with you.
