The Czech Republic
The world at large doesn't lead to hell nor does the monastery lead to heaven.
Czech proverb
The Czech Republic was the perfect mix of old world charm and moodiness-- unusual and inventive, clever and dark. Prague is a sprawling kingdom, with stone knights guarding gated towers and Gothic church spires. In Kutna Hora we visited the Bone Church-- stacks of ancient human bones turned into a creepily artistic cathedral.
And yet the darkness is appealing in it's somewhat morbid beauty, and the sense of stepping into the medieval creativity of the past is undeniable.
